We are mentally trained to fear, says Vijay Devarakonda

Reigning star Vijay Devarakonda is angered with the parent's upbringing sometimes. "We are taught to be timid and not allowed to take risks in life.

Just recently, my mother asked me not to venture into sea in Goa, that is kind upbringing that baffles me," he says and adds "Of course, I am scared about my life and future, but that doesn't mean we should stop taking steps to move up in life,"

He claims that he could influence the new generation aged between 10 to 15 years, who can do what they want and speak their mind without any fear. "I am doing what I like to do.

I am acting, producing movies and started a clothline in which every decision is mine. I think this generation can emulate it," he explains.

Yet again, he reiterated that his upcoming movie 'World Famous Lover' could be his last romantic film. "I am done with love stories. It doesn't mean that I will do clichéd potboilers. I could do a film like 'Taxiwala' but I have laid out a road map for my new journey," he informs.

He claims that 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Geeta Govindam' were love stories with different plots. "World Famous Lover' is also unique in its own way," he adds. He claims to be playing contrasting personalities from low-key guy to a flamboyant pilot in picturesque France, which challenged him a bit.

He doesn't want to take credit for the output of this film as producer K S Rama Rao announced, "It is not true, he is magnanimous. But it is Kranthi Madhav's brain child," he quips.

By working with new directors, he has kept his 'survival instinct' alive and kicking. "Learnt a bit about scripting and filmmaking as well,' he smiles.

Right now, Vijay is in a happy space and doesn't seek anything more. "Maybe, I wish to rule this country one day," he says jokingly. Talking about real-life love, he adds, "I have seen couples breaking and making up.

At times, I began to doubt the genuineness of love itself. But now, I realised that love is pure and divine and that remains the biggest achievement for any individual over his materialistic possessions," he points out. He says that he would marry one day but not mentally ready for it yet. "I am kid at heart," he reasons.

He disclosed that his next film with director Puri Jagannadh is a new experience. "I wake up with lot of excitement every day that itself is exciting enough," he informs.

He likes constructive criticism but not contrived ones. "Sometimes, I get to know what I should have done by going through genuine reviews. But sorry to mindless criticism," he cuts short.
