Samantha bags another prestigious project

We already know the story of the epic love saga of 'Shakuntala' and its significance in the history. Samantha will play the titular role on this movie and will be seen as the wife of emperor Dushyanta and the mother of 'Bharata' as per the story told in 'Mahabharat'.

Shakuntala's love affair with 'Dushyant', her secret marriage with the emperor, separation due to curse and finally handling her grown-up son to her husband will all be a part of the movie. This epic saga is a mix of emotions. Thus, Samantha is all set to carry the total film on her shoulders with much pride. Guna Sekhar has announced this prestigious project on the occasion of New Year unveiling the titular motion poster on his Twitter page.

He introduced Samantha jotting down "Shaakuntalam.. Kavyanayaki…"

The motion poster stoles the hearts with the picturesque animation and lovely background music.

'Shakuntalam' movie will be directed by Gunasekhar and will also be bankrolled under his home banner by his wife Neelima Guna. Now, it's going to be interesting to know who will essay the role of 'King Dushyant'.
