Just In
Well, the hook up that has been teased happened, the other romantic couple left it at one date and the jokes fell flat.
Well, the hook up that has been teased happened, the other romantic couple left it at one date and the jokes fell flat. The entire finale episode seemed to be one big excuse for Riya to fall for one night stand with Chadda rather than the season building this up in a clever way.
We get hints but to show it as a platonic and comic relationship, the makers couldn't really find a way to make it more impressive with actors who have opposite to chemistry at least pitted each other. We do get the awkwardness of the relationship but there are real vibes of a horrible relationship coming up.
Other romantic couple are brutally underserviced by script as the actors seem to have relatable chemistry at least developed over the period of time. This version of the date doesn't have any stakes to even laugh it out loud. British humour could be too condensed and too silly at times that it is not for easy consumption else where.
But this iteration of Office seems to be a forced thought in bringing the same flavour here rather than carefully adapating the UK version like US one. One feels it is better for Star to go and build an IP with shows that stand up to the other world shows like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai or Office Office with latest corp of actors than just try such poor copies!
