Karnataka Singer Wins Himesh Reshammiya's Heart At Indian Idol, Grabs Offer

Many artists from Karnataka are making us proud by showcasing their talent in other languages. Among those who have attracted our attention is singer Nihaal Thavro who had participated in Kannada sa ri ga ma pa reality singing contest.

This young artist who sang very well in the famous Bollywood 'Indian Idol' audition has earned a chance to work with none other than hindi singer Himesh Reshmamiyya. If we can reconstruct what happened during the audition this is how it goes.

After seeing the twenty year old singer Nihaal Thavro who hails from Mangalore ( Moodu bidre) on stage, Neha Kakkad who was the jury asked him about the chain around the singer's neck. Nihaal Thavro replied saying that it is a natural herbal chain which gives him positive energy. Everyone who had assembled started wondering after hearing this. Nihaal Thavro who spoke on the 'Indian Idol' dais said that he likes singer Arijit Singh very much. "I have not seen a singer who sings as perfectly as Arijit Singh. I don't think he belongs to this planet. After Arijit Singh returns to his planet there will be no another Arijit Singh. I would like to be his successor," said Nihaal.

After Nihaal Thavro started singing 'Phir Mohobatein' everyone was spellbound. Judges also exclaimed in wonder and appreciation. Himesh Reshammiya, who said that he became a fan of Nihaal had a piece of advice for the young singer. "Truly, I have become your fan. When we imitate a superstar we will not get as much fame as him. We would like to see Nihaal in you. Why would we need another Arijit Singh? I want to make you sing to establish your own identity," said Himesh to Nihaal Thavro.

Later Nihaal who spoke about this, said: "After participating in sa ri ga ma pa reality show I reached up to finals. My aim was to take part in Hindi reality shows. I got selected after giving audition for Indian Idol competition. I felt very happy after Himesh Reshammiya gave me an opportunity to sing. My friends and family members are extremely happy after seeing me taking part in this program. Some were shocked after learning that I went to Mumbai and participated in this show amidst Corona menace! Currently, I am getting lot of offers but I am unable to sing as I am staying in Mumbai now."

Nihaal lives with his parents, brother, and grand mother at his home. He is pursuing his BA through correspondence and has sung in movies and rendered title songs for many serials.
