Thalaivi: The First Look Of Arvind Swami As MGR Is Unveiled

Today being the death anniversary of Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran, the makers of 'Thalaivi' movie have unveiled the first look poster of Arvind Swami who is essaying the role of MGR in this biopic. Arvind Swami shared the first look poster on his Twitter page and looked awesome. This Kangana Ranaut starrer movie will showcase the life story of a great actress and politician Jayalalitha.

In this post, there are three pics which showcase the iconic mannerism of legendary politician MG Ramachandran. In the first pic, Arvind Swami is seen dressed up in a white shirt and humbly joined hands. He looked awesome with those black spectacles and completely shaved look. The second pic makes us witness the reel MGR sitting amid the school children who are having their meal. He iconic mush skull cap, white dhoti and black spectacles made him look exactly like MGR. Finally, in the third image, he is seen having a meal sitting in between the school children.

Along with sharing these pics, Arvind Swami also wrote, "It was not just an honour to play the role of Puratchi Thalaivar MGR, but a great responsibility. I thank director A.L. Vijay & producers

Bollywood ace actress Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role in this biopic. She will be stepping into the shoes of Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister Jayalalitha. 'Thaliavi' is being directed by Vijay and is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh under Vibri Motion Pictures and Karma Media & Entertainment banners. This is a tri-lingual movie being shot in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Thalaivi movie also comprises of star cast which includes Arvind Swami as MGR, Priyamani as Shasikala and Prakash Raj as Karunanidhi.
