I have never met Taapsee in my life: Vidhu Vinod Chopra

'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' starring Rajkumar Rao, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor & Regina Cassandra deals with the LGBT community and is first Hindi feature to address such. However, there were rumours all over that the makers have initially approached Taapsee Pannu for the role and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has addressed this to the media.

He said only Sonam was approached first and did not even think of any other actress. He also went on to say that he never met Taapsee in his life.

''I am the producer of the film and I have never met Taapsee in my life. Sonam was the first person to come on board even before Anil Kapoor. This clarification is a matter principle. Articles like this undermine the movie-making process and are making a mockery out of a film that means a lot to us and the whole LGBT community,'' he quoted.
