Actor Gurpreet Ghuggi, renowned for his versatile performances in Punjabi cinema, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Ni Main Sass Kutni 2'. As the curtains rise on this highly anticipated sequel, Ghuggi reflects on the remarkable evolution and increasing professionalism within the Punjabi film industry.

With a career spanning over two decades, Ghuggi's journey in Punjabi cinema commenced with his debut in the 2002 hit 'Jee Aayan Nu', alongside Harbhajan Mann and Priya Gill. Since then, he has graced the silver screen in a myriad of memorable roles, including appearances in acclaimed films such as 'Asa Nu Maan Watna Da', 'Carry On Jatta', and 'Ardaas Karaan'.

In a recent interview, Ghuggi highlighted the substantial strides taken by the Punjabi film industry, attributing its upward trajectory to a surge in professionalism and expansion of global reach. Recounting the industry's humble beginnings, Ghuggi reminisced, "When our first picture was released on 14 to 15 screens, we thought it was a great deal that we were being shown in so many cities. Today, our films are released on 1,400-1,500 screens... What bigger development can we see than this?"

Ghuggi's observations underscore the exponential growth witnessed by Punjabi cinema, transcending geographical boundaries to captivate audiences across 25 countries. He commended the industry's evolution, noting the substantial increase in both production budgets and box office returns. "Today, movies are being made with a budget of Rs 20-25 crore and they are doing business of Rs 100 crore. Now we have added grandeur, VFX, and the market has also increased. There is more professionalism today and I am very happy for that," he remarked.

Directed by Mohit Banwait, 'Ni Main Sass Kutni 2' promises to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar ensemble cast, including Tanvi Nagi, Karamjit Anmol, Nirmal Rishi, Nisha Bano, and Anita Devgan. As the film gears up for its theatrical release on June 7, Ghuggi's reflections serve as a testament to the resilience and ingenuity driving the Punjabi film industry's continued success.
