It is already known that, Bollywood ace actress Kangana Ranaut is stepping into the shoes of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalaithaa for the biopic. Titled as 'Thalaivi', this movie showcases the life story of the legendary woman who ruled the state as a revolutionary leader. Today being the death anniversary of Jayalalithaa, Kangana has paid tribute this great leader.

Kangana Ranaut was seen offering flowers to Jayalaitha and paid tribute to the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She also wrote, "உலகம் நடிகைகளை பார்க்கும் கண்ணோட்டத்தை மாற்றிய, நமது புரட்சித்தலைவி அம்மா அவர்களின் நினைவு நாளில் மலரஞ்சலி செலுத்த பெருமைபடுகிறேன்.
பெண்மையைப் போற்றுவோம்."
Sharing the photo, Kangana wrote, "I am proud to pay tributes to our revolutionary mother on her anniversary. She changed the way the world views actresses."

Kangana was seen holding the file and draped a white saree… She was exactly looking as Jayalalithaa and even her expressions and makeup made us reminisce the former Chief Minister and people's Thalaivi once again on this special day… Kangana was also seen speaking with children while they were having meals. These working stills have raised the expectations on this biopic.

'Thaliavi' movie is being directed by Vijay and is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh under Vibri Motion Pictures and Karma Media & Entertainment banners. This is a tri-lingual movie being shot in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
Thalaivi also comprises of star cast which includes Arvind Swami as MGR, Priyamani as Shasikala, Prakash Raj as Karunanidhi, Jisshu Sen Gupta as Shoban Babu and Madhoo as V N Janaki.
