Spending A Month In Jail Crushed Rhea Morale Says Rumi Jaffery

Definitely, 2020 was a bad year for the whole Indian film industry… Besides the Covid-19 crisis, a few stars breathed their last and left all the actors to go teary-eyed. Well, young actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide is the most talked case this year. He committed suicide by hanging in his apartment on 14th June, 2020 and gave a shock to all the Bollywood actors. His rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was all blamed in this case and was mentally tortured too. She was arrested along with her brother Showik Chakraborty in the drug case with the allegations of consuming if drugs. She spent a month in jail and was later granted bail. From then she is silent and not seen much in the showbiz world. Off late, Rumi Jaffery spoke to media and doled out, how hard it was for Rhea to handle all these in this year…
He doled out, "It has been a traumatic year for her. Of course, the year was bad for everyone. But in her case, it was trauma on another level. Can you imagine any girl from a well-to-do middle-class family spending a month in jail? It has crushed her morale completely."
Finally, he concluded, she was withdrawn and quiet. Didn't speak much. Can't blame her after what she has gone through. Let the heat and dust settle down. I'm sure Rhea will have a lot to say…".
Well, as Rhea Chakraborty is cornered and investigated in this case along with the drug allegations, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde released a press statement on the Home Minister's call. Off late, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh urged Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to reveal that whether Sushant Singh death was a suicide or murder.
According to TOI, Satish's statement reads, "I welcome the Statement of Shri Anil Deshmukh, HM Govt of Maharashtra calling for the CBI to make the report public in the case of Death of Sushant Singh Rajput. A hue and cry was made when the Mumbai Police took about 2 months into the investigations and the report remained to be made public. An FIR was filed in Patna making false allegations against Rhea Chakraborty and her family in July 2020. The Mumbai Police, ED, NCB and CBI including Patna Police have conducted investigations against Rhea."
He added, "She was arrested in a bogus case with no evidence by NCB. She was harassed by Various agencies and remained in custody for almost a month till the Bombay High Court released her on Bail. Rhea filed an FIR accusing the sisters of SSR administering him illegally obtained Medicines without proper medical advice and on the basis of a bogus prescription. She alleged that the cocktail of drugs and illegally administered medicines could be the cause of his death."
Finally, he concluded, "It is more than Six months since SSR Died. I have always said that the Truth will remain the same whoever investigates the Case. Whatever may be the Circumstances, the CBI should come out with its findings after 4 months of investigations by the Premier investigating agency of the country. It is high time that there is a Closure to this Sad Event. Satya Meva Jayate."
