According to the reports, the story is set in Moradabad and inspired by a folk legend revolving around weddings, first nights and spirits. Raj and Varun play two small-town idiots caught in situations that are spine-chilling but will simultaneously spark off plenty of laughs like Stree.
The film will be helmed by Hardik Mehta and bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films.
Janhvi Kapoor has also got the biopic of Gunjan Saxena in her kitty along with multi-ensemble Takht.
Rajkummar Rao is busy with Mental Hai Kya, Made in China and Turram Khan, which are in post-productions right now.
Mental Hai Kya is produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, starring Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao, Amyra Dastur, Amrita Puri and Jimmy Shergill. The film will release in 24 May 2019.
