Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam Starring Bala, Starts Shooting

After Stree, director Amar Kaushik's next film Bala is also set in a small town and revolves around a prematurely balding man and a woman facing prejudice because of her skin colour, goes on floors today with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the leading roles.

Bhumi Pednekar confirmed the news on her social media. She tweeted, "Excitement is in the hair.. err air! The shooting for #Bala begins today! #DineshVijan @amarkaushik @ayushmannk @yamigautam @saurabhshukla_s @jaavedjaaferi #SeemaPahwa @MaddockFilms @JioCinema"

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, Bala marks their third outing together after Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The film also marks the second outing of Ayushmann and Yami Gautam post super hit Vicky Donor.

The film also stars an impressive ensemble, which includes names like Saurabh Shukla, Jaaved Jaaferi and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.

Apart from Bala, Bhumi Pednekar got Saand Ki Aankh in her kitty, which is a biopic film directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. The film also features Taapsee Pannu and Prakash Jha as main characters.

Meanwhile, Ayushmaan Khurrana will be seen in Article 15, which is an investigative drama film directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Benaras Media Works. The film is written by Gaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha. It also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa.
