Hyderabad: Endress+Hauser India, a Swiss major in process automation, said it opened its innovation centre in Hyderabad. The company said the facility will be an interactive and co-innovation space for planning smart city projects in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The experience centre will showcase latest digital technologies in the world of process automation which includes use of IoT, Wireless and other technologies like Ethernet in automation industry, it said.

"This new facility will allow the company to provide service to customers, recruit new employees, and advance technology that will fuel the next great chapter of Telangana," the Managing Director of Endress+Hauser India, Kailash Desai said. The company has its headquarters in Mumbai, and the global manufacturing unit is based in Aurangabad.

He further said that the facility will support the company in its continued growth while helping it to maximise the ability to serve both new and existing clients in Telangana.

"The idea of having an experience centre is for customers to weigh the usage of different technologies, including application challenges," he added. The company informed it has worked with one of the departments of the government of Telangana on the Mission Bhagiratha project.

The other government bodies that Endress has provided services are Pune Municipal Corporation, Trichy Municipal Corporation, Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation, Delhi Jal Board, and others.
