Bengaluru: Ahead of the reopening of schools for the classes 10 and 12, Minister for primary and secondary education, Suresh Kumar has appealed to the parents that it is their responsibility to ensure the safety of the children in the school.

"The school will be another home for children, and it will be a safe haven," he said.

"Let the children study safely. Parents should send their children to school, "the minister said. The opening up of schools has led to a new excitement, especially among rural parents and children, who feel that it is only a matter of time before the children start to see their friends," the minister said.

"Do not send children with cold, flu or cold symptoms. Their health is more important to us. Children health checks are done in schools. Sanitization will be done every evening. Every day a teacher is on the lookout for children's health. If the symptom is detected, such a student is placed in a separate room and further initiatives such as health check-up are carried out. The Departments of Health, Transport, Urban Development, Municipal Affairs, Revenue and Rural Development have joined hands with the Education Department for the safe education of children,"Kumar said.

The school classroom and schoolroom will be clean. The toilets are clean. Children are not crowded, everyone's health is checked, all precautionary measures are being taken. The minister appealed to our parents to send their children to school as the future of children is important.

He asked the parents to send drinking water along with the children. Morning prayers will be held in the respective classes.

There have been demands from many quarters that the rest of the classes should be started in the same way as the 10th and 12th grades. "A decision will be taken shortly," Kumar said. Classes and broadcasts via Chandana channel will be held as usual.
