BJP will come back to power with two-thirds majority: Arun Singh
BJP general secretary and Karnataka party in charge, Arun Singh has expressed confidence that they would win two-thirds majority in the next Assembly elections in the State.
Bengaluru: BJP general secretary and Karnataka party in charge, Arun Singh has expressed confidence that they would win two-thirds majority in the next Assembly elections in the State.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the BJP core committee meeting, Singh said that perseverance and staying in touch with people were essential to retain power in the State.
He requested the leaders to meet the party workers seven days in a month and get immersed in the party work.
"It is time to have a single election. Now we have to devote more time to election victory," Singh added.
"The Karnataka government is doing its best under the leadership of Yediyurappa. I congratulate the government for the Gohatya Prohibition Act (cow slaughter ban). Shivamogga is the district that has BJP stronghold. Let us try to help lotus bloom in every part of Karnataka. It is significant that 90 per cent of the members were present at the meeting despite the Covid threat," Singh said at the meeting.
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being ranked top in Covid management by an American firm, he added,"This is a matter of pride. There was a timely lock-down decision, the number of beds in hospitals were increased and the infrastructure was enhanced. The production of the ventilator and the testing kit was increased.
He stated that while the farmers across the country were with the PM, a few elements misguided by the Congress were protesting in the national capital.
"Farmer produce purchase and support prices have continued to rise. Gujrat has witnessed a sharp increase in agricultural production. Rahul Gandhi knows nothing about agriculture."
He said Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar lacked good leadership qualities. "The unprecedented victory in the Gram Panchayat elections has given a boost to BJP," Mr Arun Singh said
