Hyundai aims to launch 26 vehicles & refreshes by 2030 in India
Hyundai Motors has set a target of about 5.5 million global vehicle sales by 2030, which represents a 6% global market share.
Hyundai is planning to launch more than 100 vehicles (include refresh as well) by the end of the decade. Of these, 58 launches are planned for North America, 49 of them for Korea, 41 for Europe, 26 for India and 22 for China. A key part of Hyundai’s India Strategy would be an all electric SUV, which is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The company has stated that the vehicle has been localised and designed for India, and it would come with a next generation infotainment system and level 2 assisted driving technology. Hyundai is not, however limiting its India expansion to electric vehicles. The company also plans to introduce a new ICE powered mid-size SUV in the market.
The approach fits into Hyundai’s broader global strategy of providing customers multiple powertrain options rather than relying on a single route to electrification. Electrified vehicles are expected to account nearing to 60% of Hyundai’s Global sales mix by 2030, up from 23% in 2025.
The India expansion sits inside a much larger product offensive. Hyundai stated it plans more than 100 global launches and refreshes by 2030, which includes more than 18 entries into new products and market segments. Seven new vehicles are expected to arrive globally over the next eight months alone.
Hyundai’s first extended Range Electric Vehicle models are scheduled to launch from the first half of 2027. Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis aims to achieve a target of about 350,000 vehicles, yearly sales across more than 40 markets by 2030. Its upcoming portfolio does include GV90 flagship SUV, its first hybrid model and an EREV SUV, expected to provide more than 640 miles of range.
