YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's 3 capitals project will fail miserably: TDP
TDP politburo member Varla Ramaiah on Thursday cautioned the ruling YSRCP ministers and MLAs against instigating a fake agitation against the Amaravati project in order to suppress the farmers and women's struggle in the capital region
Amaravati: TDP politburo member Varla Ramaiah on Thursday cautioned the ruling YSRCP ministers and MLAs against instigating a fake agitation against the Amaravati project in order to suppress the farmers and women's struggle in the capital region.
Ramaiah asserted that it would not be possible for Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to trifurcate the Andhra Pradesh capital. It was only because of the rising sentiment for Amaravati as the one and only capital that the ruling YSRCP was orchestrating a fake agitation to oppose it. In a statement here, the TDP leader said that there was increasing support from all corners of the State for the Amaravati farmers' agitation.
All sections of people have come to a conclusion that the Chief Minister's 3 Capitals plan was just a pretext to carry out an otherwise vicious plan to pursue the vested interests of the ruling party leaders.
Ramaiah recalled that over 29,000 farmers hailing from a cross section of society have sacrificed their ancestral and precious lands to the tune of 34,000 acres. Only their sacrifices made it possible for the previous TDP regime to come out with a courageous plan to construct Amaravati world class city. At the time of Reorganisation, promises were made that a Capital city better than Delhi would be constructed for the newly created Andhra Pradesh.
Stating that very soon good news would come out with respect to Amaravati, Ramaiah asserted that it would become clear that nobody can shift the Capital out of Amaravati now or in future.
