YS Jagan issues notification for implementation of English Medium in government-run schools from next year

The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued a notice in regard to implementation of English Medium from next academic year in AP.
The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued a notice in regard to implementation of English Medium from next academic year in AP. As per the notification, the English medium will be implemented in all public schools from 1st to 6th grade. Thereafter, the English Medium will be implemented every year from up to the tenth grade.
In addition to the implementation of the English medium, a language has been mandated in Telugu and Urdu. SERET has instructed to create teachers' handbooks and training programs to facilitate the implementation of the English medium. The Commissioner of Education has been instructed to coordinate with the SERT for the development of teachers' skills.
Opposition leaders, on the other hand, are already furious over the implementation of the English medium on the AP blaming the govt for diluting mother tongue. However, the imposition of English medium in AP schools has become a hot topic in Andhra Pradesh politics.
