Kurnool: The Youth Welfare department and the Setkur jointly conducted an awareness programme on the occasion of World Human Rights Day at Osmania Degree College here on Tuesday.
CEO of Setkur T Nagaraj Naidu addressing on the occasion, said that since December 10, 1948, almost all countries across the globe have been striving to safeguard human rights. But several people are far away from getting justice. This is because of the autocratic attitude of the governments, said Nagaraj Naidu.
He further said that some democratic countries like India are less violating the human rights. He also said that besides seeking rights, the youth should also know about their responsibilities. If they adopt good ways and cultivate healthy habits then we can safeguard the human rights, stated Nagaraj Nadu.
Advocate A Rajendra Prasad said the benefits we are enjoying now are the result of several people's relentless efforts. No one has the right to disrupt others freedom and rights. Everyone needs to be treated equally by shunning the indifference of cast, creed, high or low. Osmania College principal said everyone should cultivate the helping nature to others. If one could not help, he should keep away from harming.
After conclusion of awareness programme the winners of competitions are felicitated with prizes. Moiz Khan, Setkur office staff, Moinuddin, Shaik Sha Ali, Moulali, Osmania College staff, Siraz Ali Khan, Gouse Pera and around 300 students participated in the programme.
