As per the weather bulletin issued by IMD Amaravati slight to moderate rains with lightning and gusty winds are likely to occur along coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema districts.

However, the maximum temperature can be recorded at 41 degrees to 43 degrees in the day time. It is learnt that the surface trough in the southern Andaman Sea and its associated Sumatra islands is likely to cause low pressure in the Southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea areas on May 13, which would result in slight to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms in the parts of North Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema areas over the next two days. It is learnt that the impact of the Emphan cyclone in the Bay of Bengal has been disappeared due to low pressure in Bay of Bengal is not so strong in the last week.

Meanwhile, the south-west monsoon would arrive the coast of Kerala on June 1. It is predicted that the monsoon would likely to hit the Andaman coast by May 20 followed by it reaches reach Kerala via Sri Lanka. This process takes at least 10 days, which means the monsoon will hit Kerala by June 1. With the prevailing weather conditions favourable, the monsoon season is expected to arrive so .
