Vizianagaram: Sainik School students win a medal in taekwondo championship
Students of Korukonda Sainik School bagged a great number of medals at district-level taekwondo championship held in Vizianagaram.
Vizianagaram: Students of Korukonda Sainik School bagged a great number of medals at the district-level taekwondo championship held in Vizianagaram. Around 222 students from over 10 schools from Vizianagaram district participated at district-level taekwondo championship held at Gayatri College here on Sunday.
Twelve out of sixteen Cadets from Sainik School won the medals, including four gold medals. Four cadets of the school M Darshan, S Satwik S Roop Nandan G Hemanth Sai will represent the Vizianagaram district in the forthcoming State meet in Visakhapatnam. The school has been training the cadets for various curricular, co-curricular, sports and games activities in the school to enable the fitness of the cadets.
Ch Venugopal Rao has been training the cadets for taekwondo under the supervision of R Nagi Reddy, the physical education teachers and Mulla Rafik, the TGT in Hindi also taking care of the students.
