Chief Secretary Adirya Nath Das visited rehabilitation centres for flood-effected people in Gajapathinagaram on Monday.
Vizianagaram: Chief Secretary Adirya Nath Das visited rehabilitation centres for flood-effected people in Gajapathinagaram on Monday.
He visited the centre arranged at girls high school for 16 people who were living in temporary huts besides Champavathi river and spoke to them.
He instructed the officials to provide food, medicines and all necessary items to the people at the shelters.
Prior to that, Das visited the Collector's office and held a review meeting with Collector A Suryakumari, SP M Deepika, joint collectors and told them to be cautious and evacuate the people from low-lying areas. He said measures should be taken to restore power supply immediately.
