Visakhapatnam: If Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had any 'mean' intention, he would have opted Kadapa as the capital city but his focus is on equal development and hence proposed the three capitals, Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao made it clear on Sunday.

Addressing the media, the Minister wondered why TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was opposing making Visakhapatnam as executive capital. "The four MLAs of the TDP in Vizag should tender resignation letters and go for fresh polls so that they will know the public pulse. However, Visakhapatnam is destined to become executive capital despite the Opposition leaders trying hard to block it," Srinivasa Rao asserted.

"When I was an MP in the previous government, I opposed the decision of Naidu making Amaravati as the sole capital of the State," the Minister recalled, indicating that the 'Amaravati movement' is nothing but a 'drama' led by the TDP.

Clarifying on the alleged ambulance scam, the Minister said there was no scam involved in the emergency services and challenged the TDP to prove it.

Gajuwaka MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy, YSRCP leaders Vamsi Krishna Yadav and Malla Vijaya Prasad were present at the conference.
