Vijayawada: Krishna district administration is gearing up to conduct the tenth class examinations from July 10 to 17 at the 429 examination centres. District Collector Md Imtiaz on Thursday conducted a meeting with the district officials at the camp office and discussed the arrangements to be made for conducting the examination. Speaking on the occasion, the collector said physical distance should be maintained and sanitization should be conducted every day at the examination centres.

He said 57,665 students will appear at the 429 examination centres. He said only one student will sit in a bench this year and thermal screening will be conducted at the entrance of the examination hall.

He said isolation centres will be arranged in all examination centres for the asymptomatic students and first aid centre will be set up at all the examination centres. He directed the municipal and Panchayat Raj officials to sanitise the centres with hypochlorite.

He said all students and staff must wear masks. He said 4900 invigilators, 429 chief superintendents, 44 route officers, 98 custodians and 14 flying squads are appointed for the examinations. Officials from revenue, education and municipal departments attended the meeting.
