Vijayawada: Releasing the postal stamp 'My Stamp' at Nalanda Degree College here on Friday, District Collector A Mohammad Imtiaz recalled the sacrifices of the soldiers at Pulwama.

Exhorting the students to take part in the development and defence of the country, the Collector said that every citizen should think of what he could give to the country.

He recalled that 40 soldiers were killed at Pulwama in Kashmir exactly one year ago in a terrorist attack and in their memory the 'My Stamp' was released on Friday.

College principal Anuradha exhorted students to be patriotic.

Later, homage was paid to the martyr soldiers. NSS programme officer V Venkateswara Rao, NCC Lieutenant Shaikh Rafia Begum, Lieutenant K Sudhakar, Nalanda director K Madhava Rao and students were present on the occasion.
