Vijayawada: Deputy Transport Commissioner S Venkateswara Rao has made it clear that auto drivers should not ply the vehicles for public transportation and warned that severe action will be taken against the drivers. In a statement here on Monday, the DTC said the government imposed lockdown in the state in view of increasing Corona cases in the country and public transportation has been prohibited.
He said the government released GO 209 in this regard. The transport department officials began checking the roads and asking the auto drivers to stop the plying vehicles. They verified the documents in various parts of Krishna district and strictly asked the auto drivers to cooperate with the state government to check the spread of Corona virus.
