INDIA bloc leaders slam the Modi govt for indulging in divisive politics, failing to keep its promises and putting democracy and integrity of nation in danger

Vijayawada : Indian National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always talk about divisive politics, Hindu and Muslim, Mangalasutra, mutton and other issues, posing a threat to the country and Indian democracy. He said Modi made false promises to the people before he became PM in 2014.

Kharge addressed INDIA bloc public meeting at Gymkhana grounds here on Friday night. He said PM Modi is lying to the people of India about the reservations and the Congress party stand on it. “Reservations are made basing on the social status. One caste has SC status in one state and different status in other state. There is no uniformity of reservations in the country,” he said.

The Congress chief demanded Modi to tell people what he did during the last 10 years. He said PM Modi always asks what Congress had done to the country since Independence and now he has tell the nation what he did since he came to power.

Asking the PM how many jobs he had given in India in the last 10 years, he said 30 lakh government jobs were lying vacant in the country. He alleged the PM is not filling the government jobs because about 50 per cent jobs are to be given to SC, ST and OBCs in the country. He appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to vote for the INDIA bloc in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections defeat Modi in order to save democracy, constitution and fundamental rights.

CPM national general secretary Sitaram Yechury expressed concern over the increasing of privatisation in various sectors in the country under NDA rule. He said telecom, ports, petroleum and other sectors are being privatised in the country. He reminded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had personally promoted Jio network of Reliance Industries owned by Mukesh Ambani.

Sitarama said Rs 16 lakh crore bank loans of corporates were waived by Modi. He said 22 families have 70 per cent of the national wealth and inequalities between the rich and poor are increasing.

CPI national general secretary D Raja said the 2024 general elections are very crucial for India and urged the people to vote for the INDIA bloc. He reminded that the Modi had assured that two crore jobs every year when he came to power and failed to fulfil promise.

Raja reminded that PM Modi has assured that farmers income would be doubled in the country but it was not happened. CPI national general secretary alleged Modi made empty promises and failed to fulfil in the last 10 years.

State leaders of Congress, CPM, CPI, AAP and contesting candidates in the elections participated in the public meeting.
