To promote Telugu ‘Padyam’, Samskara Bharathi conducted State wide competitions for schoolchildren and the final results were declared on Sunday through social media
Vijayawada: To promote Telugu 'Padyam', Samskara Bharathi conducted State wide competitions for schoolchildren and the final results were declared on Sunday through social media.
Samskara Bharathi is a national organization having its branches at state level. To create interest among children this organization is striving hard by promoting literature and culture.
'Padyam' is a gift for Telugu literature and many books have been written by eminent authors earlier. This organization conducted competitions for students between 3 and 16 years. Awards have also been declared for the students of Class 2 to Class 10.
About 2600 candidates from 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh have participated in the preliminary round and 272 students entered the final round.
Sasidhar (Guntur district), Hasini (Nellore district), Mahi (Srikakulam district), Yuvaraj (Anatapur distict), Girish (Prakasam district) and Bharathi (Chittor district) bagged consolation prizes.
Sainath (Kadapa district), Uma (East Godavari district), Alekhya (Visakhapatnam district) and Damini Sudha (West Godavari district) have received 3rd prize.
Gayatri Srinidhi ((Visakhapatnam district), Tejanidhi (Kurnool district), Dheeraj ((Visakhapatnam district) and Chinmayi (Vijayawada) secured 2nd prizes.
Mokshaka (Vizianagaram district), Yagnapriya (Visakhapatnam district), Sidhardha ((Visakhapatnam district) and Amukthamalyada ((Visakhapatnam district) were selected for first prize.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr PVN Krishna said that 'padyam' is a pride of Telugu and Telugu literature has its own place in Indian literature. Krishna rendered some 'padyams' and inspired the kids and viewers.
Dr Rama Krishna emphasized the importance of Telugu in our life. He urged the parents and children to learn the subject in Telugu and understand in mother tongue to enable us to reproduce it in a better way. Ramanamurthy, president also addressed the students and parents.
Durbha Srinivas, secretary, Samskara Bharathi, Andhra Pradesh branch, has efficiently conducted the programme and said these prizes will be handed over to the winners at their places and thanked the students, parents, teachers and school authorities to make this event successful.
