Vijayawada: Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce and Industries President V Bhaskar Rao appealed to the traders and entrepreneurs to take preventive measures to check the spread of Covid-19, the coronavirus in the city. He suggested that the business fraternity to keep water, sanitizers handy and arrange masks and gloves to the staff as a precautionary measure to check the pandemic novel Corona virus.
Addressing the media on Friday, V Bhaskar Rao said in the wake of alert sounded by the Central and State governments on the impending danger of spreading Corona virus, all domestic, commercial and industrial business people should follow the instructions and guidelines prescribed by the government to control Covid 19.
He said the businessmen, who visit other countries or states for business purpose should follow safety tips to avoid the virus from getting infected. He suggested the traders to immediately consult the doctors if they notice symptoms like fever, cold or cough. He further said the shop keepers are advised to avoid huge gathering of customers at a time and take necessary measures by addressing them in a phased manner. Bhaskara Rao has recalled that the district officials have already reviewed with the businessmen and explained the impending pandemic and told to take all precautionary measures possible to check the spread of Virus. He said that as per the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'Janata Curfew' everyone should strictly follow and stay indoors from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22 (Sunday).
Chamber member K Vidyadhar Rao said that the trading community will support the government and strictly follow the guidelines issued to control Covid 19. He said awareness programmes will be conducted to educate the people.
