The Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be visiting Krishnapatnam-Obulavaripalli railway line on August 24.
Kadapa: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be visiting Krishnapatnam-Obulavaripalli railway line on August 24.
The Railway officials have announced the schedule of the tour. The security arrangements are monitored by Vijayawada Railway SP Narayan Naik.
VP Venkaiah Naidu will inspect the longest rail tunnels which are situated between Cherlopalli and Rapuru railway stations. The tunnels flow across Velikonda forest in the borders of Nellore and Kadapa districts.
On Wednesday, SP Narayan Naik has monitored and discussed with the officials over the security measures in the tunnels, which is about 7kms long.
Vice President is expected to start from Venkatachalam and will be reaching Cherlopalli railway station by 3 pm on Saturday. In this context, a large number of police personals were deployed along the entire route.
