Veerabhadra Rao remembered

Rajamahendravaram: Minister for Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh paid rich tributes to former Municipal chairman and ex-MLA Pothula Veerabhadra Rao, describing him as a leader known for value-based politics and remembered as Ajata Shatru.
Speaking at Pothula Veerabhadra Rao's 27th death anniversary programme held at Veeresalingam Town Hall, the minister said Veerabhadra Rao was a distinguished public servant who left a lasting mark in the fields of literature, sports and social service.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Pothula Veerabhadra Rao Trust secretary Akula Veerraju, while trust president Dr BVS Murthy presided over the meeting. Several speakers recalled the services of the late leader. Among those who addressed the gathering were Action organisation coordinator Meda Gurudutt Prasad, Town Hall Trust Board president Madduri Siva Subba Rao, former MLA Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao, TDP state executive secretary Erra Venu Gopala Rayudu and YSRCP leader Jakkampudi Vijayalakshmi. Noted psychologist Sunkara Nagendra Kishore and Congress leader Bezawada Rangarao also paid tributes, highlighting Veerabhadra Rao’s contributions to public life.
