UTF vows to continue protest until issues are resolved

Tirupati: United Teachers Federation (UTF) State associate president K Suresh Kumar said that the union will continue its agitation until the problems of employees and teachers are resolved. As part of State-wide call given by the UTF under Ranabheri 3.0, UTF Tirupati district unit organised a one-day hunger strike in front of Tirupati RDO office on Wednesday. The programme was held under the leadership of District associate president M Kumara Swamy.

Suresh Kumar alleged that the government was showing negligence in addressing the issues of employees and teachers. Fulfilling its promise, the government should immediately announce 29 percent interim relief for employees and teachers and clear pending PRC and DA arrears.

Leaders of AP JAC and NGO associations, including Raghu, Srinivasulu and Lalith, extended their support to the protest. Later, the union leaders submitted a memorandum to the administrative officer at the RDO office.
