Two teenagers drowned
Two youths who went into Krishna river at Amarewara Ghat at Amaravati on Sunday, accidentally fell in the river. According to Amaravati Circle Inspector Y Pichaiah, a group of 10 friends came to Krishna river at Amaravati.

While they were playing ball on the banks of Krishna river, the ball fell in the river water.
Syyed Khadar Vali (14) while trying to take the ball, accidentally fell in the river water. When he screamed for help, Syyed Khaja (19) tried to rescue him. He also fell in the water. Both went missing in the river water.
Expert swimmers pressed by the police retrieved their bodies. The deceased hailed from AVN Colony of Agathavarappadu village of Pedakakani mandal in Guntur district. Pedakakani police registered the case and took up investigation.
