Two SSC students killed in road accident; six critically injured

In a shocking road accident at Kalicherla near Peddamandyam of Chittoor district, two SSC students were killed and another six seriously injured and their condition is said to be critical.
Tirupati: In a shocking road accident at Kalicherla near Peddamandyam of Chittoor district, two SSC students were killed and another six seriously injured and their condition is said to be critical.
The students were travelling by a Qualis vehicle to reach their examination centre. The vehicle was said to be a election campaigning vehicle of Jana Sena which took the Students as they want to reach the examination centre early. The reasons of the accident were not immediately known. The injured were shifted to Madanapalle government hospital for treatment.
District Collector PS Pradyumna expressed shock over the accident and directed the District Education Officer K Panduranga Swamy to reach The accident site and Madanapalle government hospital. He instructed DCHS Dr Saralamma and DM&HO Dr B Ramagiddaiah to see that the injured get better treatment.
He asked the police to file a case against the driver who was responsible for the accident. Collector advised the students to start early to the examination centres and reach safely without any hurry.
