Addressing media persons at Annamayya Bhavan here the Additional EO said the benchmark convention will be held in collaboration with the Yuga Tulasi foundation and Sri Godham Mahathirtha Pathmeda of Rajasthan at Mahati Auditorium, Tirupati. The objective is to create awareness among farmers from Telugu states

besides Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on the techniques and strategies to be adopted for organic farming based on Cow based manures besides maintenance of Goshalas, he averred. He said the pesticide driven agriculture had led to several disease prone environments in the country and farming with Cow based manures alone could resolve them.

Agriculture can be promoted with allied activity of dairy for value adding through milk, curd, butter and ghee besides Pancha Gavya products for more revenue to farmers, he explained. He said the objective of TTD was to bring back past glory to Indian agriculture by training young farmers in productive practices of

Goshala maintenance, use of cow based fertilisers and manures to grow nutritional food.

TTD is already promoting Go based products but offering Srivari Naivedyam daily at Srivari Temple. Similarly, TTD has also launched Go based arjita seva of Navaneeta Seva and also agarbatti made from used

flowers at TTD sub temples. Soon TTD would launch 30 types of Pancha Gavya products.

Organic farming expert Vijay Ram said young farmers were showing interest in organic farming and lauded TTD programmes to benefit farmers.

The programme includes educating farmers to promote ground water in barren lands, breeding of Desi cows and Desi manures. The programme will spread awareness and training on how to earn Rs 25,000 per acre through organic farming. TTD will also help organic farmers to market their products by entering into an agreement with farmers during the programme. The meet covers various subjects including the history and significance of Desi breed cows, Model Goshalas, breeding desi cows and nutritious fodder.
