Tirupati: The department of Biosciences and Sericulture of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) organised an international webinar on "Current trends in Life Sciences" on Wednesday. Over 300 delegates participated in the webinar in which international and national faculty have delivered their lectures on various aspects of topic.

Addressing the webinar, Registrar Prof DM Mamatha said the main focus would be on the exchange of scientific information on cutting edge research and innovations in the field of basic and applied biological sciences.

Dean, School of Sciences Prof A Jyothi highlighted the essentiality of life sciences and its importance in advanced research. Organising secretary Prof G Savithri said the webinar would provide an alternative platform for students, faculty and researchers to discuss recent advances in life sciences.

Dr MP Lakshmi of USA, Prof T Pullaiah of SK University (retired), Prof S L Hoti, Dr S R Ramesh, CEO and academic advisor to Mahajana First Grade College, Mysore, Dr P Krishna Prasanthi and others participated as resource persons.

HoD Dr P Sujatha, Prof K Nagalakshmi, Dr N Vijaya Kumari, Dr A Suvarnalatha and others also took part.
