Tirupati: The TTD Trust Board is examining the possibility of opening Vaikunta Dwaram for 10 days from the Vaikunta Ekadasi, said TTD chairman Y V Subba Reddy. Answering a question during an interaction with media on Friday at Tirupati, the chairman said that the practice of opening Vaikunta Dwaram for a few days has already been in vogue at Srirangam temple and the Tirumala priests and Agama advisers had discussed the issue but had not and disclosed their views.

After receiving the opinion of Agama advisors only the TTD board would take a decision, he said while stressing that any decision would be subject to the temple customs. Subba Reddy said that there was good response from donors for SRIVANI Trust donations with many devotees coming forward to give huge amount of funds to the trust.
