MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana went to Chirala area to sort out the situation there and touring the fishing villages there. He was accompanied by MLA Karanam Balaram, former MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan and former MLC Pothula Sunitha. The MP earlier visited the victim who was being treated at the hospital and suggested the doctors to provide better treatment to the victims.
The MP and leaders met the fishermen in Vadrevu to discuss the situation. He advised everyone to be together and discuss the issues with adults. He said that the meeting with fishermen at Katarivari farm and urged them to cooperate with the authorities who are working to solve all the problems.
Meanwhile, there was tension over MP Mopidevi's visit. Some of the fishermen chanted slogans on a large scale and pelted stones. Agricultural Market Committee Director Kanaparthi Bajjibabu and Kagitala Satish were injured. With this, a tense atmosphere appeared at once and a car was destroyed in the attack while the MP Mopidevi Venkataramana and other leaders left the spot.
