The Krishna water dispute controversy between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana seems to have taking a new turn with most of the Rayalseema leaders hitting out at Telangana government over their stand on the list irrigation schemed at Pothireddypadu to lift the water Krishna water from Srisailam. Meanwhile, TG Venkatesh, a BJP Rajya Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool made a sensational comments on Wednesday over the ongoing controversy. He said the Srisailam project is in Andhra Pradesh territory and Telangana has no rights on the project.

He fumed at Telangana government and asked not to act foolishly in the matter of the GO 203. He recalled KCR comments, which states that all the buildings, structures and projects in the Telangana region belong to Telangana. Hence he made clear that Srisailam belongs to Andhra Pradesh, which is in Andhra Pradesh's territory. TG Venkatesh has ruled that there is no going backward on its fight over GO 203. He demanded Jagan to fight and assured that he would appeal to the centre on behalf of the BJP.

The Telangana government has expressed its objection to the AP government's issuance of GO over Krishna water usage without the approval of the KRMB and Apex Committee. The Telangana government has decided to file a complaint with the Krishna River Board. Telangana Irrigation Department Chief Secretary Rajat Kumar said that the GO released by Andhra Pradesh consists of water transfer from Srisailam. The GO states that three TMCs from Sangameshwara Point and 88,000 cusecs of water had to be moved from Pothireddypadu. It remain to be seen how this dispute comes to an end.
