Veteran journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao said former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's objectives should be taken as inspiration by the present generation and do service to society.
Vijayawada: Veteran journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao said former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's objectives should be taken as inspiration by the present generation and do service to society.
He was chief guest at a programme organised by an NGO, 'Vibrants of Kalam' to mark the National Integration Day on the premises of SRR & CVR College on Tuesday. Addressing the students, he said that Dr Abdul Kalam was born in a poor family. With dedication and commitment, he pursued technical education.
He dedicated his life to serve the nation by becoming a scientist and took forward the country on par with developed nations in technology. The NGO district coordinator V Srilatha said they have been organising various programmes which inspired students and youth to do service for society.
The college principal, V Joshi, NSS officer Hariprasad, NGO state coordinator K Raviraja, industrialist Khaja Vali, students and others were present.
