Keeping soaring temperature in view, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation inaugurated a water kiosk (chalivendram) at Ukkunagaram here on Monday.
Visakhapatnam: Keeping soaring temperature in view, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation inaugurated a water kiosk (chalivendram) at Ukkunagaram here on Monday.
Inaugurated by president of Visteel Mahila Samithi (VMS) Saradha Rath, the initiative aims to quench the thirst of those who frequent the bus stop near Visakha Steel General Hospital.
She also presented a cheque for Rs.40,000 to district president of Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation V R Nageswara Rao to extend support to the service-oriented initiatives taken by the organisation. Buttermilk and water will be served to the pedestrians and others here till June 15.
The organisation has been rendering such service for the past 26 years. After inaugurating the 'chalivendram', the team of VMS and the organisers took part in the tree plantation drive.
