This new pattern will be for this year only to tide over the difficulties involved due to COVID19 and the consequent lockdown, explained B Rajasekhar, Principal Secretary, School Education department in a GO MS No 30 on Friday.
He further explained that this pattern is for SSC Public Examinations 2020 and advanced supplementary examinations 2020 only.
The six paper pattern introduced for the benefit of the students belong to the poor and vulnerable households, those who have no access or partial access to technology to be provided with a level playing field to ensure equity. The six subjects will have six papers with 100 marks each.

But, this GS paper will be divided into Part A and Part B with continuous question numbers up to 33. Each part will be divided into four sections.
