Srikakulam: A large number of devotees from across the district thronged noted temples to have darshan of god and goddess on Sunday evening after conclusion of first solar eclipse of the year.

The temple authorities allowed the devotees by strictly following the Covid protocols of social distancing norm.

As the eclipse occurred on Sunday, which is a day for Sun God and also Amavasya day, several devotees had darshan of Sun God at Arasavalli temple in Srikakulam after conclusion of eclipse. Priests conducted samprokshana (cleaning rituals) at Sun God

temple before allowing devotees for darshan. Devotees also visited Kurmanadha temple at Sri Kurmam, Mukhalingeswara temple at Sri Mukhalingam and other important temples across the district in the evening to offer prayers.

In the wake of Covid pandemic, the temple officials and staff at all temples observed precautions as usual to prevent the spread of the infection.
