Sr DCM inspects Eluru railway station

Eluru : In a bid to enhance passenger experience and ensure optimal facilities, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division Vavilapalli Rambabu along with the Commercial Team conducted extensive inspection of Eluru Railway Station on Friday.

The inspection was aimed to identify areas for improvement, enhance passenger comfort and convenience, proper functioning of all passenger amenities and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.

He examined cleanliness, maintenance of platforms, toilets, waiting halls, passenger amenities, infrastructure and facilities, such as lighting, signage, and water supply.

He inspected all the catering stalls on platforms to check food quality, quantity, expiry dates on food items and availability of water bottles. He also inspected ongoing ABSS Station redevelopment works at Eluru.

He also interacted with passengers, railway staff, and vendors, soliciting feedback and suggestions to improve services and facilities. He emphasised on important amenities, like ticketing, enquiry services, help desks for ensuring smooth functioning and hassle-free travel for passengers.

He directed officials to expedite ongoing works and initiate new projects to further enhance the amenities and services offered at the stations.

The inspection was part of the Vijayawada Division, SCR’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of services and facilities provided to passengers.
