Siddhartha College clinches KRUIC cross-country championship in Vijayawada
AG and SG Siddhartha College of Vuyyuru emerged as winners of both men and women championship at 9th Krishna University Inter-Collegiate (KRUIC) Cross-Country race held at Vikas College of Physical Education (B Ped) at Nunna near Vijayawada on Thursday.

In the men's category AG and SG Siddhartha College won the eighth title after the university began its inter collegiate championship.The 9th KRUIC cross-country race was inaugurated by international athlete Manikanda Raj of Indian Railways. As many as seven men and five women teams participated in this tournament.
In the men's section, Andhra Loyola College (Vijayawada), DAR College (Nuzvidu), Vikas College of Physical Education College (Nunna), in women section SDMS college (Vijayawada), Vikas College of Physical Education (Nunna) and Vijaya College of Physical Education (Nunna) stood in second, third and fourth places respectively.
Later, Krishna university in-charge vice-chancellor Prof Y K Sundara Krishna, international athlete Manikanda Raj presented shields and medals to winning players. Vikas educational institutions chairman N Narsireddy, secretary and correspondent N Satyanarayana Reddy, BPed college principal Dr S Raju, sports board members R Raghuram, D Balakrishna, tournament organising secretary Ratnababu, physical directors Udaykumar and Raghu participated.
