Ships halted away from Visakhapatnam port over coronavirus

With the coronavirus fast spreading the ships arriving from the Corona-affected countries were halted in the Bay of Bengal at a distance of ten nautical miles of the port of Visakhapatnam. They are allowed to enter port only after undergoing 14-day quarantine is over.

The ships that underwent the quarantine time for 14 days after the passengers have arrived from Corona are being permitted to enter the post. They were initially located about ten nautical miles away from the port and doctors and collecting everyone's samples.

The ships are allowed into the harbour only after making sure there is no danger.
