Ongole : The Prakasam district collector and District electoral officer AS Dinesh Kumar, SP Garud Sumit Sunil informed that tight arrangements for vote counting are almost complete at the RISE College of Engineering for the Ongole parliament and the eight Assembly constituencies in the district, including the Santhanuthalapadu constituency of Bapatla parliament constituency.

Speaking at the joint press meet along with the SP at the collectorate on Friday, collector announced that they are arranging 14 tables for the counting for each Assembly constituency, and appointing a gazetted officer as the counting supervisor, a counting assistant, and a micro observer for each table for EVMs. Collector said that they are erecting flex boards informing the counting halls for each Assembly constituency, and made special entry points for the counting staff and agents to reach the EVMs and postal ballot counting centres. He said that about 1,500 counting staff, 2,400 agents, and 1,000 police personnel will be participating in the counting. He said that training for the staff is being given in a phased manner, and completed the first randomisation of the staff on May 22.
