VIJAYAWADA: State Election Commissioner Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar along with the Krishna district collector Md Imtiaz visited a polling station in Bishop Grassi high school in Gunadala and inspected the polling arrangements and interacted with some voters. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements at the polling station. Later briefing media the SEC commissioner said polling will be held very peacefully in Krishna district. VMC commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh, election observer J Subramanyam and others accompanied the SEC. He said 'the election arrangements are very satisfactory'.
Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan cast his vote in the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation elections at the Patamata ZP girls high school. Jana sena party is contesting the elections in alliance with the BJP in the State. Pawan Kalyan wished and waved to their fans and left the polling station after exercising his franchise. YSRCP East assembly constituency incharge Devineni Avinash cast his vote in a polling station in Gunadala. Voting for two municipal corporations of Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, two municipalities of Pedana, Nuzvid and three Nagara panchayats of Tiruvuru, Vuyyur and Nandigama begun peacefully at 7 a.m. and will continue till 5 p.m.
