Rathotsavam, Teppotsavam performed at Srisailam temple

Kurnool: On the auspicious occasion of Maha Sivaratri Brahmotsavams, the authorities of Srisailam temple have organised Rathotsavam and Teppotsavam on Saturday. Prior to performing Rathotsavam, Rathanga Puja, Rathanga Homam and Rathanga Bali were performed. At Rathanga Bali the pumpkins, coconuts and kumbam were given as Satvika Balis.

The ratham (chariot) was decorated with flowers like, rose, marigold, chrysanthemum, lily, chandini, gladiolus, carnia, austers and 11 other varieties. Later the presiding deities were seated on the Ratham (chariot) and Rathotsavam was performed. Similarly, Teppotsavam was performed at temple Pushkarani. Prior to Teppotsavam, special pujas were performed to the presiding deities. Devotees enthralled by having the glimpse of the events. On this auspicious occasion, Omkara, Naga, Trishula, Nandi, Simha, Surya, Chandra and Nakshatra Haratis were given to Swami Amma Varlu.
