Rajamahendravaram: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India officials and staff organized a dharna at LIC divisional office here on Monday, protesting the Union government's decision to invest LIC's money in the stock market.

Participating in the protest programme, LIC Employees Association president and secretaries MAF Benerjee and P Satish, on behalf of class one officers Meka Nageswara Rao and on behalf of extension officers Sambasiva Rao demanded that the Union government rollback its decision immediately. They said that the Union government's decision will pose a big problem to the LIC and it would suffer economically also and hamper its development.

Moreover, the government's decision also create doubts among policy holders, they added.
