Prakasam SP debunks myths on police at TEDxKanke

Ongole: Prakasam SP Siddharth Kaushal delivered a speech and shared his insights in front of eminent persons around the world at TEDxKanke in Ranchi of Jharkhand on Sunday.

The 2020 TEDx event was held at Chanakya BNR Hotel in Ranchi and the theme for the meet is 'Breaking the Barriers.' The organisers of the meet, Rajiv Gupta and Kanishka Poddar introduced Siddharth and announced that he is called for the talk for his efficiency and vision in delivering services to the public in an innovative manner by adopting the technology.

The first IPS officer from Andhra Pradesh to deliver the speech at TEDx, Siddharth utilised the opportunity in busting the myths about the police on their corruption, brutality, inefficiency, and incompetency and indolence. He explained about the use of technology in Prakasam district to increase availability, accessibility and accountability of officers to the public through the project Spandana, increasing the performance and providing training to police personnel in the district through project Parivartan, initiatives of Abhay Drop Home service, SWAT Commando team, Project TATA.

The IIM graduate opined that unlearning prior impression, deconstructing institutional history and truly zero basing of the thought process is essential to bring about change in rigid resistant establishments.
